Chapter 1.
It was the worst winter ever and most people were inside with the flu, except for Day he was outside making a snowman, Days parents didnt say much anymore and allowed him to do pretty much what he wanted he didnt see them much these days.
The snowplow was approaching and Day waved to the driver, Day expected him to get out and say hi like he always does but he just pointed towards Day's house and kept plowing, Day stopped making his snowman and followed the snowplow.
The snowplow pulled up beside a line of the vehicles and Day watched Mr Dee meet his friends they were holding hands and standing in a circle.
Day saw the yellow light pour out of the snow depot and the door opened spilling a beam of bright yellow light onto the snow, Day watched Mr Dee and his friends enter the building.
Mr Dee found Day standing outside the window, he stumbled before fumbling with the lock on the window and yanked Day inside.
Day couldn't see and he shielded his eyes as Mr Dee led him through the building soon enough they had reached the fireplace Mr Dee asked Day to stay where he was and he locked the door from the otherside.
Day was getting bored so he tried putting his hand into the fire.
Mr Dee came back and asked Day if his hand was burnt, Day gave him the thumbs up and Mr Dee told him that he was going to have to take him home himself.
Mr Dee had tried all of the snowplows but they were all frozen in place so they would have to walk.
Mr Dee told Day that all of the adults in this town had the flu but he wanted him to go to the playground tomorrow morning to see his friends, Mr Dee and his friends had work in another town for the next couple of weeks but he would visit Day as soon as he got back Mr Dee gave Day the thumbs up and let him go home.
Chapter 2.
When Day got up it was still dark so he tiptoed downstairs and grabbed a flashlight.
Day opened the main door slowly and crept outside, his snowman was still there but the snowmans nose had fallen off, Day searched around with his flashlight but could not find the nose so Day made his way to the playground.
Day passed a number of snowmen on his way to the playground and could not help but admire them and suddenly Day was lost, he shined his flash light on his footsteps and then on the street sign, Day was on his best friend Tylers street.
Tyler was on the street curb shining his flashlight at the ground, Tyler had asked Day how he had found him and Day had said something about a snowman.
Chapter 3.
Sammy had thought that the end had come when she saw the two lights coming towards her and she almost fell off of the swing.
Tyler told Day that Sammy should be at the park but they could not find her even with their flashlights, then they heard a loud bang from behind them and they both knew that it was Sammy.
They started by making another snowman and Sammy produced a carrot for the nose, Day asked her where she had got it from and she told him that she had found it somewhere but couldn't remember.
By the time that the snowman was finished the sun had just risen Day told his friends that he would be able to find his way home now.
Day felt alone as he walked towards his house and he thought of Mr Dee and his thumbs up which cheered him up a lot and as he reached his house he found a carrot lying upon the street curb Day picked it up and he replaced it upon the snowmans face and the snowman looked happy.
Chapter 4.
Tyler and Sammy came over later that day in case Day was feeling lonely they told him that they had the park to themselves since he had left and they did not see anyone else the whole time but they wanted to show him something.
It was a car that had skidded to a stop in the middle of the road and the keys were in it.
Day popped the boot and they found a large book with a star on the front they took turns carrying it towards the park.
Chapter 5.
They opened the book together and a blue and red light eminated from it they heard a siren go off and their hearts jumped they thought that they were in trouble for taking the book but the police car just cruised by leaving them to whatever they were doing in the park.
They shut the book and sat there looking at the star together and it seemed to be glowing so they threw it away into the lake.
Chapter 6.
Rupert was only trying to catch one fish because he was bored, he knew there was probably only one fish in the lake but he had cast his line anyway though when he sat down he felt the earth rumble.
Rupert moved to the other side of the lake and once again cast his line the earth rumbled again and he slid into the lake.
Chapter 7.
Rupert returned home with a book he had somehow found in the lake while he was fishing. He looked out the window and saw three children there staring at him he closed the window and opened the book.
Rupert threw the book out the window and the children retrieved it, this time they would get rid of it properly Day recommended that they wait for Mr Dee to return and that he would know what to do with it.
So the kids hid the book in the park this time Tyler and Sammy wanted to hide it in the church but Day had a bad feeling about it so they buried the book in the playground.
Chapter 8.
Rupert decided to take a walk through the park because he was bored again, when he felt the ground rumble again and he landed on the ground and vines emerged they wrapped themselves around his body, first his ankles and then his neck.
The kids found Rupert in the park wrapped in vines and they rushed to help him but first they had questions they wanted to know what he had read in the book before they freed him.
Rupert told the children that he had seen an image of himself being taken to jail and that he had believed if he had kept reading the book he would of seen something worse so he threw it out of the window.
The children moved away from Rupert and told each other that they believed Rupert might be in danger.
Chapter 9.
The children could not remove the vines and Rupert was currently lying on top of the book, Day mentioned Mr Dee again but he would not be back for quite some time, the more Rupert struggled the tighter his bonds became.
At least the book was safe but Rupert was becoming ill and while the children remained in the park with him they noticed that Rupert was starting to get very unreasonable.
The children wanted to leave they had seen Rupert vomit a number of times and the green substance he produced mixed with his attitude towards the children was enough, they decided to find another way to free Rupert.
Chapter 10.
The children returned to the park with a number of implements intending to free Rupert but he was gone and all that remained was an empty ditch.
The children decided to venture towards Ruperts house and they found that a police car had crashed into his house Rupert was sitting on the roof clutching the book.
The children climbed up onto the roof and sat beside Rupert.
Rupert told the children that the police had freed him from the vines and returned him home, Rupert motioned towards the car and told him that it had all happened in an instant, the police officers were gone and he was on the roof reading the book.
Chapter 11.
Day went first and he saw Mr Dee giving him the thumbs down, Tyler told Sammy not to look at the book and would not explain why. Rupert refused to give the book to Sammy so she tried to take it by force and they slipped off of the roof.
Sammy had landed on the police car and had damaged the sirens, Rupert however had hit the ground.Rupert got to his feet slowly to see if Sammy was alright but judging by the blood she was not.
Day had his hand on Tyler's back, Tyler had told them everything that he had seen in the book and now Sammy was lying on the cop car bleeding.
Rupert was older then the children and he could drive soon enough they were speeding towards the hospital. The car broke through a road block but there were no police present and soon enough the hospital was visible.
The car slid too a halt in front of the hospital and they noticed that some of the windows had been broken, to their surprise Sammy got out of the car and ran into the hospital.
They checked the car and yes Sammy had the book.
Chapter 12.
The trail of blood led them through the hospital lobby and past a number of bodies until the trail split there was blood leading in two directions.
Rupert bent down and touched the blood, Day tried to stop him as Tyler raced ahead following one of the trails.
Rupert and Day stayed together and decided to find them one at a time.
Day told Rupert that he wanted to leave and Rupert ensured him that they would find his friends all they had to do was stick together and no running off said Rupert.
They continued searching until they heard running it sounded like hundreds of footsteps at once and it was coming from the floor above them Rupert turned around and Day was gone.
Rupert was alone now and he tried to push an image of the book out of his head.
Rupert watched Sammy descend the stairs holding the book and she offered it to him when Day and Tyler came running down the staircase and passed right through her telling Rupert to run.
They stumbled as they reached the entrance to the hospital and Rupert turned around, there seemed to be three Sammy's following them each with different dresses on all of them covered in blood.
The car they had arrived in was going haywire the lights were flashing on and off and the horn was sounding spontaneously they started backing away when they were caught between the car and the girls.
The girls passed right through the trio and assimilliated with the car leaving the hospital zone, as they were leaving the boot popped open and a girl reached out and asked them for help.
Rupert was dumbstruck as Day started walking after the car.
Rupert and Tyler pulled up beside Day and asked him to get into the car they had found.
Day refused to enter the car after what he had just seen and so they got out and walked with him.
They finally reached the roadblock and found the car it had crashed and they noticed Sammy.
She had been thrown from the car quite a distance but she was alive, some distance away was the book and it was open.
Rupert approached the book and it moved away from him and so did Sammy, the book seemed to be moving towards Sammy as she tried to move away from it.
Rupert acted quickly and he kicked the book as Day and Tyler rushed towards Sammy, the book froze in mid air and released a swarm of bats.
They took shelter beside the road block as the bats attacked, Rupert drew them out into the open and fought them with a sharp stick.
Sammy stood up and she walked slowly towards the bats as she got closer they just started dropping out of the air.
As did the book, it hit the ground and seemed to explode it was on fire but it was not burning, soon the inferno was spreading and there was three girls being consumed by the fire but they were laughing and they were beckoning Sammy to approach them, slowly Sammy walked into the fire.
Chapter 13.
Rupert threw the stick and it hit one of the girls in the heart she shrieked and ran off leaving a fiery trail of destruction behind her.
Rupert saw his chance the other two had flinched and Sammy reached her hand out, Rupert dived into the flames and grabbed her it was a tug of war now.
Day and Tyler both grabbed a girl and led them away from Sammy the flames were dispersing now and as they pulled Sammy to safety the book itself started attacking but it could not focus on one target, Rupert knocked it out of the air.
And drove the stick through it the book screamed.
Chapter 14.
The devl fled with the book clutched closely to it and a firetruck sped past, they watched both of them dissappear Sammy hugged Rupert.
Chapter 15.
They returned to the hospital and tried to return it to functional.
They blocked up the smashed windows and cleaned up anything broken or out of place luckily there were no bodies to get rid of and they had revived a couple of doctors and had gotten the communications online and they had started recieving signals.
Book 2.
Chapter 1.
Mr Dee had been getting nervous for the children, he wanted the book and he knew where to find it.
So they would set out to retrieve it with his buddies, but the book was elusive they all knew that, they were sitting around a fire discussing this.
Chapter 2.
Mr Dee lit his pipe because it would help him talk "everyone felt it ," he said "yes we felt it ," they said in unison and they fell silent for a moment.
"One of us has to visit the hospital, any takers?" said Mr Dee "you know as well as I do that it lies beyond the path of the dead Mr Doctrine,"he spoke.
"The dead are collaborating upon that hospital as we speak, one of the last havens it is," "and big enough to hold a squad of heroes."
"The hospital will endure," Mr Dee laughed and pointed his finger "you will ensure this will you not?"
Chapter 3.
Mr Dee laughed as he gave out the orders half of his company were to visit the hospital the other half would pursue the book but first he would return to snow town.
Mr Dee had to be on his own to do this or it would not work he hoped that he would find Day and would get Day to tell him all he knew Day would propably not want to share this with anybody but Mr Dee would get it out eventually so he went to the park.
There was a dead police officer sitting on the swing and he was holding a shotgun.
"Howdy," said Mr Dee "you might need this" said the cop and offered Mr Dee the shotgun Mr Dee was curious as too why he would need the shotgun so he asked "too many dead people around," said the cop.
Mr Dee heard shuffling he asked the cop very nicely if he could finish this one off for him so the police officer blew the zombies head off for Mr Dee.
The police officer continued doing Mr Dee's job for him but he still couldn't find Day, he heard the shotgun fire a number of times but without Day there was no reason for him to be here.
Mr Dee found Day lying in the middle of the road so he picked him up and brought him to safety.
Day would not talk to anyone apart from Mr Dee so they sat down near the fireplace.
Mr Dee had soon learned that Day had been traumatised but was willing to share his story to him Mr Dee had also learned that they thought the hospital was safe but it wasn't.
Chapter 4.
Day told Mr Dee that they had found two doctors in the hospital and they seemed to be alright but one of them kept trying to leave.
The other doctor wanted to let him go because he did not like him much and he kept calling him a cowhard.
Then the windows in the hospital started smashing and he broke out of the hospital, the next thing he came running back inside and yelling.

Ollo
Ollo loved bridges he often dreamt about them, high bridges, long bridges even broken ones but that was the problem whenever he tried to cross this certain bridge he dreamt about it would break and he would fall then he would wake up look out his window and see the only real bridge in his life leading directly to the scary old fisherman, they would fish together, Ollo didn't like going near him but the stories he would tell were wonderful until one day after a particularly scary story Ollo decided to run home and once he reached the bridge he discovered that it was truly broken and he would have to spend the night in the old fishermans house.
The old fisherman told Ollo another story that night and he didn't get much sleep, the following day had the bridge repaired Ollo vowed to never enter the old fishermans house again, days later Ollo was told that the old fisherman was seen leaving his house in a boat and hasn't been seen since Ollo was glad that he was gone.
Ollo couldn't help himself he had to cross the bridge just one more time and what he found was the ghost of the fisherman the boat was gone but the fishermans spirit remained he had another story to tell the boy before he vanished.
Ollo would never forget what he felt that day and was never going to be the same Ollo returned to the bridge and found the fishermans spirit blocking the path he was fishing.
He offered Ollo a fishing rod and told him another story this one was about a magical bridge Ollo loved this story so much that he decided that he would go with the fisherman wherever he would take him.
The fishermans spirit remained with Ollo and guided him Ollo followed him into his house and the fisherman revealed a secret to Ollo it was a book it contained all the stories Ollo had been told and the fisherman wanted Ollo to write one of his own.
The book was enchanted and the fisherman wanted Ollo to keep it with him the fisherman led Ollo down a hidden staircase it descended for hours until they reached what the fisherman called the book case he asked Ollo to place the book upon it.
They were now in the boat but as they were sailing they saw some thing in the water so the fisherman cast his line, he wrestled with it until they realised that they had caught a wonderful fish.
The fisherman wanted Ollo to eat the fish but instead he threw it back into the water which made the fisherman furious so then he threw Ollo into the water and started laughing at him he told Ollo that if he ever does that again he would drown him Ollo swam after the boat.
The fisherman had caught another fish which meant that Ollo had to eat a raw fish it tasted like fish mixed with acid and he spat half out into the water Ollo soon found himself swimming after the boat again.
Ollo asked for some real food so the fisherman offered him another fish so then Ollo dived back into the water and refused to continue.
The fisherman told Ollo that if he didn't get back into the boat he would be eaten by a larger fish and there would be food once they reached land.
Ollo starved for days and all he got was laughter the fisherman had no problem eating raw fish and seemed content with Ollo staying on the boat he offered to throw him off a number of times if he wanted but Ollo would just tell him he was hungry and he didn't like boats or fish anymore.
Ollo dreamt of a bridge laden with food but the bridge was swaying from side to side and the food was falling off he woke up to find that the fisherman was waking him up, he was pointing towards the sky and there was written the name Ollo and the clouds looked like fish.
The fisherman asked Ollo if he would like to fly someday Ollo didn't respond he just laughed telling the fisherman that old man stories can't make people fly and that he just wanted to get off the boat.
Sooner then he knew it he was back in the water this time he was too hungry to swim and started drowning the fisherman wasn't heartless though so he pulled Ollo back into the boat and gave him one last chance days later they stopped and the fisherman told Ollo that they were close to their destination and asked him if he would like to swim the rest of the distance.
So the fisherman told Ollo another story as they finally reached their destination he gave Ollo a pouch of gold and told him he would return when the time was right the fisherman dissapeared after that, and all that left Ollo with was a pouch full of riches and an oasis in front of him.
Ollo found the market you couldn't miss it they sold everything here so Ollo bought a carpet and a lamp this cost him all of the gold he had one minute he was in the market place the next he was in a desert.
The old fisherman was sitting in a rusty old boat he wanted to see what Ollo had bought Ollo told him that he spent all of the gold on a carpet and a lamp the old fisherman asked Ollo if he could sit on the carpet and rub the lamp he sat there rubbing for hours finally the fisherman burst out in laughter telling Ollo that he had wasted his gold and told him the only magic he would find in this desert would be mirages and that he had better start walking if he wanted to get out of here the fisherman kept the carpet and the lamp and vanished again.
Ollo left thousands of footprints and all he could see on the horizon was as he got closer what seemed to be a ship he never turned around though if he had done so he would have noticed that there was a giant turtle following him but this one was gigantic and if Ollo had of looked he would have seen the old fisherman riding upon it he was laughing to himself but then again the ship was approaching.
The old fisherman jumped off the ship and Ollo saw that he had a patch over one eye he asked Ollo if he liked pirates, Ollo told him that he was glad he could only see with one eye, so the old fisherman condemned Ollo to scrubbing the deck whilst his parrot looked on.
The only word the parrot would say was float sometimes Ollo would mistake it for the word boat but this was no boat it was a ship and scrubbing it was an extremely huge task to undertake.
The old fisherman emerged from his cabin and asked Ollo if the ship was ready yet Ollo told him that yes your majesty the ship is ready now though where shall we sail in the middle of a desert your majesty the old fisherman asked him to climb up to the crows nest so he did and once he got up there he found the parrot it said the word float again.
The ship was hovering just above the sand now and from up here he could see what they were heading towards Ollo called out to the fisherman and he told Ollo that he would have to come down now.
He let Ollo guide the ship and would say no more what Ollo had seen from up high was no longer visible and navigating a desert like this was nearly impossible then he reached the hazardous area.
The desert cracked open in front of him into a chasm the ship never dropped as such but he couldn't navigate away from this the ship followed this chasm for days and the old fisherman would not allow Ollo to leave his post, when they got to the really bad part the old fisherman took the wheel he steered away from the crack and Ollo got some sleep.
Ollo dreamt of flying ships and terrible volcanoes.
They were sailing swiftly now so swiftly that the wind picked up making it more difficult for Ollo to guide the ship so Ollo just let the wind guide the ship the wind was so strong at that point Ollo had to ask the old fisherman what to do next he told Ollo that if he doesn't want to crash he better do something quick then the wheel broke and Ollo was in some serious danger.
They were headed directly towards the most dangerous thing in the whole desert a wall of sand and the ship was destroyed upon impact.
Only humans could pass through the wall which meant that the parrot could not so the old fisherman said good bye and he flew of into the sky they never saw each other again.
The old fisherman wanted Ollo to step through the wall 'backwards' and told him to do it before he has to push him so Ollo backed up away from the old fisherman and was eventually through the wall the old fisherman threw him a key and told him that he was out of the desert now the key was enormous.
Ollo had to drag the key along behind him and would often find himself lost but the key was like a compass it would often hover into the air and guide Ollo past the most dangerous areas until it shot forward and unlocked a gate.
Ollo found the old fisherman again and he needed the key it hovered again but this time it turned in mid air and unlocked an invisible door.

The stairway.
We grow weak as they speak, we are elite as we seek, our talent's unique, we shall not retreat.
Solo was a bridge above a chasm, it was said that if you tried to cross it at night you would be devoured, the bridge was gone now but the chasm remained.
They named the chasm 'The Stairway' because of the pathway leading into the heart of the chasm.
No one descended it, for years this went on until rumours arrived of spirits trying to climb the staircase,in time they came to find that even though the pathway was crumbling the spirits were still trying to escape the solution was clear destroy 'The Stairway'.
They attempted it once no one ever called it 'The Stairway' ever again,it was rumoured that the spirits that had escaped were beginning to make sacrifices into the chasm,no one was safe because of this, the environments closest to the chasm were abandoned which made them perfect for bending this world to their own will.
The Stairway beckoned to them in their thoughts they could almost touch the sky and there was hope then they would fall and they were hopeless they kept waking up closer to 'The Stairway' until they found themselves at the top of the staircase and they descended.
The light was blinding and it bathed the heroes in holy light there was hope eminating from two trees but there were shadows in them, between the trees was another stairway the shadows said something and the light went out.
The shadows continued to speak though, they were asking the heroes to descend into the darkness so they did.
Behind them the trees lit up again and the pathway ahead was clear, it stretched on ahead until it became a bridge called Solo.
Once they reached Solo it was dark although their keen senses could make out another staircase up ahead , their keen senses also warned them of something terrible and it was close.
That was when the bridge itself woke up and a shadow dropped from it, the bridge shook from side to side as the shadow desperately tried to keep hold of it until it lost it's grip and plummeted into an abyss.
The abyss bathed the bridge in a heavenly glow as the heroes crossed it, as they reached the other side the glow subsided and the bridge collapsed into the abyss as well.
They felt a great sadness, the abyss was weeping and there were tears on the staircase 'this is the only way forward' they heard and then a voice telling them to turn back and then the great cataclysmic breaking of solo the bridge falling into the abyss.
This time there was one tree with two shadows in it, they were wrestling with something when they noticed the heroes they both dropped what seemed to be a crow, the crow took off into the air and flew away and the shadows flew off in opposite directions.
The tree was weeping and was weeping because of the shadows then as it's tears hit the ground the tree became peaceful again and thanked the heroes for scaring them away, the tree wanted them to stay here with the tree, but they sensed a darkness still lingering within it, this tree was dying so were the other ones they had passed through and there were more, more trees and more tears.
THE ABYSMALL FOREST.
The next stage of their journey led them to the 'Abysmall Forest' that sense of sadness washed over them again, the whole forest was weeping, the tears were pouring down like rain.
And they were dancing, the shadows were dancing in their tears, though when the shadows saw the heroes once again they flew away and as the tears were subsiding they entered the forest.
The heroes footsteps were like a heartbeat to the trees and as they grew peaceful a sense of peacefulness washed over the heroes they had found the heart of the forest.
It was a well full of tears when they looked into it they saw another tree a larger one the well called it the 'last tear'.
As soon as they had left the forest they saw the 'last tear' looming ahead, it was enormous but there were shadows entering and leaving through an entrance at the base of the tree they were draining it's tears.
Once the shadows had fled once more the heroes found another staircase within the 'last tear'the shadows had been using it as they harvested from the pool of tears the pool of tears was the size of a lake.
Solo appeared once more and manifested itself over the lake full of tears Solo told them that the sadness would subside if they crossed the bridge and as they did the tears began to sing.
They could see themselves at the top of 'The Stairway' looking into the chasm but now there was happiness emenating from it, upon the pathway there were shadows trying to escape so the heroes took the initiative and destroyed the shadows as they descended once more.
They found themselves together and truly noticed each other this time, they were adorned in robes with armour woven into it and their crowns sparkled in the sunlight.
Once they had grown accustomed to one another they realised that they were bound somehow, if they all focused on something at the same time it could work.
This was not condemned to magic either, they truly believed in one another then something awful struck what if one of them were to go,their bond would be broken, it struck like lightning and that fear never left.
There was more to fear as well but on a bright day like this who cared?
Above them the name Solo was written in the clouds and once their gaze had returned to earth they looked around and noticed that they were alone.
Little did they know they were still heading in the same direction though, days later they found each other and shared with each other great deeds and tales of fearsome creatures, stories of treasure and they revealed to each other the artefacts they had found.
-----
They all seemed to have come from the same kind of (species?)creature in fact they did come from the same kind of creature and since there was more than one of them it was very likely that there was more out there somewhere.
It didn't take long for the Heroes (to find) a group of them (the lizards/creatures/reptilian???), they had the same horns growing and their tails were identical they were just as slow as the others as well.
They were pulling/dragging a larger form of themselves, the heroes could hear it snoring from where they were and he was 'also' wearing a crown.
They had been pulling/dragging their king for what seemed to be an eternity now their king had been asleep for years before they started on their journey towards 'the edge'they were going to wake him up by dropping him from a waterfall but there was only one they knew of and it was very far away.
'The Edge' cascaded off the highest mountain in the world, from 'this' distance it almost blocked out the sky and it was still very far away.
The king never woke up though and drowned after they tried waking him up but his crown floated to the surface they left it there though and renamed 'The Edge' the 'Kings Pool.'
The lizards all imigrated to the Kings Pool after that and they erected a settlement there, They respected the water as sacred as well, after years of worship their king woke up again and he was angry.
Their king had to ascend 'the edge' to stay alive and that was where he met the heroes.
He told the heroes all about his experience, he had been precipitating upon a half broken bridge he could see the kingdom on the other side but he couldn't reach it he stood there for years longing to be in that kingdom until eventually one day his end of the bridge broke, he dropped for days into the abyss continuing to crash through bridges and waking up spirits as he did so, little did he know that he was destroying real bridges as he fell, he destroyed hundreds of them, all of them actually he told the heroes that he was angry at himself and asked them forgiveness.
They told the king that there was a spirit called solo that could repair the bridges and the king told the heroes that he would aid this 'Solo' in any way that he could.
The kings quest was to follow the path they had travelled to bring him here to the 'Kings Pool' retrace their steps and was to place his tears upon the staircase, the king had also felt a great sadness whilst he longed for forgiveness he would never forget that kingdom he couldn't reach, perhaps this quest might lead him there so he set out to find it and the heroes would go with him.
They got to a point where the pathway stopped and branched off in different directions, extra footprints as well, the king told the heroes that the footprints were made by a different king, the king that had invoked his slumber.
So the lizard king continued his quest and the heroes pursued the 'King of Sleep.'
But the pathway was deceptive and their roles were reversed, the lizard king came to this conclusion because anything living he found was asleep, there was still an anger burning within him too, and that anger was awakening within him.
The heroes felt it too, an infernal rage welling up from some source of existence and they couldn't control it neither could the lizard king.
The heroes searched hopelessly for an answer when above them the sky said 'don't wake him up' the lizard king saw it as well.
That was when the lizard king decided to defy the words in the sky, he would defy the sky itself if he had to, he looked up once again and found the words 'he will be angry' and then it was dark.
They could hear it snoring they all could even though they were in different places, then the heroes heard the lizard king yelling so they travelled towards the source of the noise but as they got closer the noise stopped.
They found the lizard king he was torn in half but bathed in light, he had also scratched three z's into the ground and they were illuminated as well, so as the heroes dusted the z's out something woke up something big and it was angry.
The king of sleep offered to tear the heroes in half if they came any closer and told them that if they did not flee into the darkness and leave the lizard king lying where he was that they would share the same fate eternal slumber.
The lizard king moaned asking the heroes to help and that he would heal in time, he told them that his slumber was the bridge again leading to the palace but there was a king in front of him blocking the way so the heroes ventured to destroy the king of sleep.
They became weary and the ground was getting difficult, and as the sun came up their vision improved until at last they saw the words 'daylight'.
Solo had bestowed daylight upon this place but it was fading and quickly they could feel the anger again and as the daylight went the king slept once more.
It was the heroes turn to wake him up 'solo' advised them against it but they had to help the lizard king the answer was simple make him angry but they did not expect this, the king of sleep had been waiting for them and he wasn't that angry he had just grown tired of waiting for them so he would sleep to pass the time.
Your friend has been waiting for this moment a very long time, will you cross the bridge with him or will you flee?
This stairway led up once it was revealed but they had to close their eyes to ascend it the stairway was also 'asleep' it led into the dream/bridge realm.
The lizard kings body was upon the stairway it was still torn in half but the kings soul was still upon the bridge in the dream realm the king of sleep told the heroes that he was waiting for them to ascend and help him and as they closed their eyes they saw the chasm.
As they ascended the stairway the king blocking the bridge fell and solo appeared in its place telling the king that it was all over now and he could finally reach the palace he turned around and saw the heroes coming towards him.
They were to accompany him until he reached his destination there was destined to be another encounter upon this path.
When they reached Solo he was smaller than what they thought he would be and he was weak, Solo told the heroes that they would have to build his strength if they were to succeed, the king picked solo up and noticed that he was cold it sent a shiver through him and dropped solo, he froze in mid air then levitated up 'solo' could fly then he dropped to the earth again and couldn't move the heroes and the king felt sorry for him so they held a council on how they were going to help 'solo'.

The lost mage
The Lost Mage.
The gold in the sky, The winds are up high, the lights at my side, the steed that i ride, the places i hide, the safety I find, the battles collide, the magic survives, the skills of the mind, the kills over time, the staff and the sign, the power divine, the mountains i climb, the forests defined, the stars realign,my weapons designed, the spells i refine, the worlds i combine, the tactics assigned, the crystals confined, the beasts that i bind, the light that will blind. The way that I tried...
It was the date of the perfect heavens, the time of the perfect heavens was a time to find.
They could find all sorts of stuff over the course of the perfect heavens, the villagers would search high and low all over the lower levels of the kingdom, whilst the clerics would conduct their study upon the higher levels of the kingdom, this could be enchanting elements of what the villagers find, or alternatively enchanting the villager themself, these villagers became to be known as, what the clerics would call 'soldiers' they were perfect at everything, from creation (armour, swords, bows) magical discipline and moving silently, they were trained killers the clerics would often assign them to different tasks.
One of these was guarding the royal treasury, the clerics would assign four soldiers to the highest level of the kingdom where the enchanted artifacts were stored, the magical velocity of this treasury needed to be contained.
Trestle was a villager an extremely rare one, he had found three items today, the first thing he found was a jar with a rope in it, but he couldnt open the jar it was too tight he tried smashing it but it wouldn't break either, he continued on with his search until he stepped upon a skull he had no idea where it came but now it was a pile of dust anyway, he continued searching, next up was a picture of an island with a storm upon it there were lightning bolts everywhere and a tidal wave in the background, Trestle stood back for a moment and noticed there were people staring at him, Trestle wanted the picture but he couldn't do it with everyone staring at him it would be classified as stealing he believed he was keen to steal the picture although he would have to do it later, tonight perhaps, the next thing he noticed he was being dragged away from the picture as it was torn off the wall and shoved in his face THIEF they cried out in unison, the clerics will have yea, where is your lucky rope now have it around yea neck yea will, and your skull too have someone blunder around upon your skull and crush it to dust, the clerics will have yea, straight into the treasury you go, the mark of the cleric upon you yea have, Trestle was surrounded by Soldiers they seized him and dragged him towards the treasury, "your the last of the perfect heavens", they said and we have found you.
The next thing Trestle saw was the Treasury he cried out with joy and screamed at the same time, it was wonderful to behold and his first reaction was to claim it all for himself, to be rich beyond all your wildest imaginations but the treasury was deceptive.
Joy and fear are just part of the ritual they told Trestle, "what ritual", asked Trestle? then they threw him into the Treasury.
The clerics and the soldiers held their council, they assembled upon the highest place in the kingdom awaiting the final stage of the Perfect Heavens ' the golden storm' it was devastating, the kingdom crumbled beneath the rain within hours, whilst the clerics fought the soldiers for supremacy.
Trestle felt as though his soul was being torn in half, first he would ascend up into heaven, then he would be dropped descending down into the chasms beneath, rising and falling he was and drifting, drifting apart into nothingness.
Once the rain had stopped Trestle was overwhelmed by a sense of wellbeing, it was as if the rain had imbued his soul with magic, the rebellion of the soldiers had been difficult to undo but at last the clerics had prevailed against all odds, Trestle was no longer darkness, light had returned to this realm, the remnance of their evl had been shattered and the lost mage was safe 'for now'.
They named him Bestle.
The lost mage was vomiting, he was spewing up black tar and he was disgusted, although the light remained intact the kingdom did not, the remnants of the treasury was not a wonderful thing, the rubble wasn't so bad that was compared to the charred skeletons with their bones strewed everywhere, the smell was horrible, then the gust of wind came blowing, it seemed to be animating the skeletons but was just blowing them away the wind smelt beautiful and Bestle stopped spewing after that, then he noticed the good remnants of the Treasury shining in the distance down in front of him and he spewed again this time it was a powerspew and light erupted from his mouth.
After he had finished powerspewing the wind came blowing again with a number of lights (fairy lights) in it one of these landed upon his right wrist and dragged him sidewards the other light landed on his left wrist and dragged him that way pulling him from side to side and saying something about the treasure, then the largest light manifested in front of him, it had wings and was holding a wand it was also adorned with jewellery it called itself the windblower and it had a task for Bestle.
The lost mage continued to struggle though, he was trying to grab the fairies but they kept evading him and striking back everytime he missed, the windblower found this very amusing it finally finished laughing then he rebuked the lesser fairies they both exploded and disapeared, the windblower was no longer laughing.
'Im cold' said Bestle 'then maybe this will warm you up, see those trinkets over there down the lane where i am pointing at I want them for my collection the problem is I can't get low enough to touch them, so be a good lad and pick them up for me there will be a reward in it for you.'
Bestle walked down the lane with the Windblower floating behind him.
The Windblower pointed his wand at a chalice 'that one will come in handy, why don't you pick it up for the good old windblower,' Bestle stooped down to pick up the chalice and noticed how beautiful it was 'its beautiful' said Bestle "how about I turn 'you' into a piece of treasure now what do you say will you pick it up and give it to me?"
Upon closer inspection there seemed to be an inscription on the chalice, the windblower was just floating there rubbing his hands together, that was when Bestle noticed the other trinkets they seemed to be remnants of a feasting hall, the windblower was rubbing his stomach.
Bestle believed these trinkets were useless to him so he started picking up all the trinkets and giving them to the windblower this was obviously making him very happy, very happy indeed.
Bestle was surprised to see the windblower start to eat the trinkets, this was making him big and bloated and scary it would burp and spew up bits of trinket and chew on the larger ones until unfortunately the windblower ended up eating to many trinkets floating to the ground and sleeping there, it was its snoring that scared Bestle the most then the fairy lights returned, Bestle ran like the wind.
The lights pursued Bestle for days, he had to steal a horse, perhaps if he still had those trinkets he could afford one but the lights were chasing him and if he couldn't get away he didn't know what would happen, he had a few ideas but they were all unpleasent for all he knew there could be more of them everywhere and what would they do 'tear him in half or start beating him to death and what happened to the windblower' he did not know.
The lights were hungry and their deity had gorged itself to sleep if they couldn't wake him up soon they too will fall asleep and they needed to feed.
The one with the magical properties yes he would do nicely but they had to catch him first, step one find the lost mage , step two eat the lost mage, step three wake up the windblower.
If the lights of the windblower go out there is a chance they will not wake up or be alight again, their search was desperate and their light was fading and the wind was getting weaker without wind they could not move freely and would basically amble around the same spot that was when the wind picked up again and they resumed their search.
Bestle was hiding in a tree the tallest one he could find and his horse was exhausted it was nightime that was when he saw the lights appear they were far away but not far away enough by any means.
As the lights grew closer Bestle recieved a tap on the shoulder the first thing he noticed was something pointing at his horse the stranger was telling him that it would be no use that the horse was useless, then he brandished a flute and the tree was illuminated as the wind was heard floating through the tree.
The lights stopped, they could sense a change in the air they were being seperated and were starting to snore, it was a loud cataclysmic noise, to Bestle's dismay the lights started bouncing toward him at high speed, the sound was terrifiying, then the tree went dark and the lights stopped.
Bestle's tree friend's eyes started blinking and flickering he was knocked out of the tree and his flute broke during the fall "come and eat me ," he yelled once he was standing up.
Bestle landed beside him and picked up the flute it mended at once, he handed it to his friend.
He started to play, then the end of the flute was bitten off Bestles stolen horse ran off at that time, something took a bite out of the tree Bestle was hiding in,that was when the chomping sound began.
I bite what I like, your dinner tonight, your right in my sight, I woke up and took flight, so fight with my light, their right at your height, were shining so bright, the mage I ignite.
They were both blinded temporarily, then the windblower was back he was summoning more fairies and spewing out wind when the lights grabbed Bestles ally and started dragging him towards the windblower that was when the wind reversed and the windblower was consuming the tree elves soul.
That was when Bestle mended the flute again he blew with all his might and the wind reversed, Bestles tree friend went sprawling, he got up and climbed the tree as the lights raced up after him.
Once he was at the top of the tree the windblower took another bite and Bestle blew the flute again then the tree bit back "its enchanted," yelled the tree dweller "blow the flute again the tree will win."
The lights were drawn like magnets to the tree they would become attatched to the tree and soak into the wood, the tree dweller broke off a piece of enchanted wood and lept from the top of the tree the windblower looked up as the tree dweller rammed the piece of wood down its throat.
The windblower just floated there trying to eat the enchanted wood but it was having difficulty and seemed to be falling asleep again lights would appear and spark out just as soon as they would be summoned, gradually the windblower did sink into the ground, they thought they had won then the flute started playing on its own.
Bestle tried breaking the flute but it wouldn't then it got hot and he threw it on the ground, a tree branch reached out for the flute next and the tree was ignited then a number of fairy lights broke free, they started tearing the tree apart the tree dweller started to cry.
Then the lights grabbed Bestle again and started slamming him into the tree knocking him out, the tree was burning and being torn apart by the fairy lights, a large branch fell of and burnt to cinders on the ground just beside Bestle.
The tree dweller stopped crying but his robe was on fire, he dropped out of the tree again and he picked up the flute and blew it from the opposite end as the tree finally crumbled to embers.
The lights merged with the remains of the burning tree that was on the ground when the windblower emerged wreathed in smoke he was finding it difficult to breath.
The tree dweller lunged at the windblower in a ball of fiery flame when the inferno began, they wrestled with each other in the fire when the wind grabbed bestle and started drawing him towards the fire.
The flute turned into a pole like weapon and the tree dweller started striking the the wind blower with it he started knocking trinkets and jewellery out of it very valuable ones, they both seemed impervious to the flame when Bestle got closer.
The tree dweller lande the final blow when the whirlwind emerged and put the fire out scattering the trinkets and jewellery everywhere the windblower was gone and now the treasure was his.
Magical Treasure.
They decided that one of them has the jewellery while the other had the trinkets, Bestle went with the jewellery whilst the tree dweller gathered up all the trinkets there was also a broken crown but it was also burnt Bestle crushed it with his foot.
The tree dweller bid him farewell and good fortune then disapeared, he ended up manifesting in a tower on a mountain what he called his 'lighthouse' whenever he would ascend to the top of his lighthouse he would be able to locate any fairylights anywhere and if he did he would absorb it into his soul.
The first piece of jewellery was an ear ring when he put it in his ear his vision was enhanced he tried focusing on the other pieces of jewellery and he could hear them tinkle he could also see in the dark.
The other ones basically enabled him to use magic or a psychic authority, moving objects, manipulating the elements and other stuff that he would have to learn, it came at a price though every time he tried to do something he would get weak water seemed to do the trick though everytime he would see water he would gather it in his magic gourd, drinking it felt wonderful, he had an affinity for water and he was hungry time to hunt some magic.
He spotted a lizard an enormous one it was green and red it looked poisonous, he obviously couldn't take it out with his bare hands so he would employ magic, but why? he couldn't eat it but it might aid his magic.
Bestle tried knocking it over and the lizard groaned, he tried blinding it and it shook its head, he tried breaking its leg when the lizard noticed him and charged he deflected the lizard and it did a backflip the lizard charged again and this time the backflip broke it's neck then the small ones charged.
Bestle focused on his foot and it started to sink he wasn't focusing hard enough when the small lizards attacked, they had poisonous fangs and there was four of them, Bestle tried to avoid them and his ankle broke at that very moment the lizards seemed to feel it too they were broken but now Bestle had to heal himself.
Firstly Bestle got his foot out of the ground and it started to tinkle he hopped towards the enormous lizard.
The poison wasn't poisonous to Bestle it was wonderful he extracted all he could from the lizard and consumed some this was when the real magic began.
The lizard was getting bigger and growing wings it asked him to climb on to its back it took some difficulty with his foot but once he was on he seemed stable enough, hold on to your mind said the new lizard because we are gonna get high.
Soon enough they were up in the sky and Bestle was hallucinating they were being followed by bats to start with then the bats turned into spears the lizard knocked them away with it's tail except for one now Bestle was holding an enchanted spear the lizard went higher.
Pierce the sky, tear it asunder said the lizard Bestle launched the spear but instead of piercing the sky it continued downward the lizard flew down after it.
As they descended the spear froze up and stopped, Bestle grabbed it again and he shuddered the whole world seemed to be freezing including the lizard then they dropped.
So instead of piercing the sky the spear managed to freeze them instead and they continued dropping until they eventually hit the surface, the lizard smashed upon impact, fortunately Bestle landed in a lake the problem was the lake froze up and Bestle was at the bottom of the lake and he had been impaled by a spear.
That was when the fish started to move and they were moving towards him, the fish were glowing now and they started banging into each other when the enormous fish came along, it bit the spear first and pulled it out of Bestle then it started swimming, it was breaking all the ice Bestle floated up to the surface.
Bestle surfaced and found the remains of the lizard they were mostly melted now but there was a huge symbol on the ground an arrow if you will a beautiful precious one, then Bestle realised it wasn't just an arrow it was a missile an explosive one, Bestle hoisted it over his shoulder and continued in the direction of the arrow.
Bestle stopped again for a rest he put the missile down as well he thought he knew how it worked all you had to do was aim it at something and it should fire on its own this made the missile very volatile and dangerous Bestle was unsure of how effective the blast would be also.
He was still on the path of the arrow when he came to three arrows with a sign saying 'highly explosive danger beware' the arrows were orange, red and yellow then they started flashing Bestle started backing off when they started flashing quicker it was a land mine Bestle dropped the missile and ran.
The explosion went off like a magical cracker, when it set the missile off, it blasted off into the air and continued towards the horizon leaving a trail of huge big sparks behind it.
It took Bestle weeks to find the missile, during that time he would use his abilities to get food and collect more lizard serum he would consume a small drop and hone his skills he was getting better but there was more to learn.
Bestle invoked a magical cracker it was the same as the land mine but bigger and colourful it was effectively a destruction spell Bestle destroyed a boulder at the bottom of a hill it revealed an entrance Bestle went inside.
This was the location the missile struck there were depictions of arrows and explosions on the walls and unfortunately a bomb this was no missile, it was going to destroy everything and there was a clock on one of the walls, the bomb was going to explode in half a day what Bestle didn't know was that it was a magical bomb it was going to release a horde of fairy lights hundreds of them and they were angry the hill was the equivalent of a wasp nest and was about to blow.
It took Bestle half a day to reach a forest, he had found more tree dwellers a forest full of them, he explained himself to the sentinels that were aiming their bows at him he also told them about the other tree dweller that he had met, a group of tree dwellers came out to meet him.
There wasn't much time so their meeting was held, they exchanged all they knew about the windblower and they told Bestle that they had erected more lighthouses, they had also harnessed a number of these fairy lights and turned them into wards these came in a number of forms but there was not enough time to go into detail right now, the forest was effectively a magnet to the lights but they had to evacuate first and time was short.
The tree dwellers left the forest single file as the hill exploded then they started running, hopefully the trees would absorb the lights before they reached the tree dwellers but they were running now anyway and it was getting dark, Bestle remained behind with the strongest tree dwellers they handed Bestle a ward and withdrew their own ones, they could see the lights in the dark now there looked to be around fifty of them they were banging into each other and rolling around on the ground Bestle could smell them on the wind, they were also making a buzzing noise Bestle put his hands over his ears and noticed that his allies were doing the same, no matter how hard they tried they could not stop the noise or the smell, the lights regrouped and attacked as the lights got closer Bestle heard the familiar notes of a flute, the windblower was awake again but needed air and soon or it would get angry and if the windblower got angry the lights would too it was their mission to restore the windblower although they had to get through Bestle first.
The first lights bounced of the forest like globes/balls Bestle and shattered, the next wave grabbed one of the treedwellers and dragged him away from the others when the flute got louder they tried to catch their ally but the lights were too quick there was another explosion in the distance and the flute got louder again the lights were retreating with Bestles stolen ally, Bestle heard a loud crashing sound it turned out to be trees breaking, the wards upon the trees were exploding now as well, the treedwellers were in utter confusion and a number of them were wounded, when a lighthouse appeared in the distance, it was still dark and Bestle could see it absorbing the lights in the distance,Bestle thought victory was certain before he was impaled by the flute he dropped to his knees and tried to heal himself, the windblower was approaching.
The windblower withdrew the flute from behind Bestle and kicked him onto the ground and told him that his lights were gone all he had left was this flute so he started to play.
To Bestle it sounded like being blown to pieces one piece at a time, then the windblower started laughing which sounded worse, his final light appeared and he fed it to Bestle, the sound was coming from within him now it was an internal struggle against the windblower,he focused all his energy on the flute.
Bestle woke up and could see that the windblower itself was impaled by the flute, behind the windblower was the first treedweller Bestle had encountered he withdrew the flute and blew one single note.
The windblower was no longer laughing then it started to dance, slowly at first then quicker and quicker until it could take no more, the treedweller blew the final note on the flute when the flute absorbed the windblower, there was no more windblower after that, then Bestle spoke to the treedweller.
He offered him two options, Bestle could live in the lighthouse with him or he could keep the flute, Bestle considered this for some time when the dwellers that fled started returning it was morning now and the first survivors had returned to see that their forest was destroyed.
The flute was meant to be a war horn, Bestle's treedweller friend had noticed something dark while he was staying in his lighthouse, the treedweller believed it to be an all consuming void, with most of the light sucked out of this world it had grown stronger and the treedweller believed that his beloved lighthouse would crumble if Bestle went back to it they might be able to preserve it but not for very long they decided to lead the remaining treedwellers to war.
That was when the sun went out.
That was when the stars came out.
Fortunately they could see again but not very well, Bestle would have to blow the horn so they could regroup, everytime he did this a star would appear, everytime they got lost it would disappear they eventually got tired of this and Bestle ran ahead they could still see the horn was illuminated as Bestle ventured forth, the treedwellers eventually lost sight of the horn when the star dropped.
The star had landed on Bestle and he felt as though he had been hit by a meteor he got to his feet and noticed that the horn was floating away, the horn was playing tricks on him whenever he got within reach of it the horn would disappear the other problem was that it was pitchblack, Bestle wanted to return to the others when the shouts got closer, the treedwellers had found their way in the dark.
They formed a circle around the horn and bound it, then the lighthouse emerged from the ground although this one was bigger, as it climbed towards the sky the other stars started dropping, they looked like different pieces from the same weapon, when they hit the ground they were still illuminated although they had landed in different places, Bestle asked the treedwellers if they would be able to help him collect the shards, they said they would but this was as far as they would go after that, they would remain at the lighthouse.
They collected all seven shards and brought them into the the light cast by the tower, they placed the pieces in front of Bestle then they left him to his own as they entered the tower, they were safe from the darkness here and here they remained.
When Bestle inspected the shards he noticed that they were some rare form of metal, he decided to call it star metal because that was what it looked like, once had pieced it together (this took some time) it attached itself to Bestle in the form of a helmet and a staff, they were both magnetic towards other stars that have fallen that he had not seen, without this he would never be able to make it towards the final darkness,he had to collect more stars judging by how strong the magnetism was but the darkness was pulling as well, Bestle let go of the staff and it flew of into the darkness and the helmet got heavy.
Bestle tried stomping the helmet but it was just as elusive as the horn had been, every stomp would miss and every time he picked it up it would attach itself to him, he eup and let the helmet pull him towards the closest magnet, this was the equivalent of being dragged into the darkness 'head first'.
He hit the magnet and fortunately the helmet broke, all it had brought him was a one way trip into the darkness and he was glad to be rid of it,he gave it a final stomp and it was broken entirely that was except for the star dust that got everywhere but that got picked up by the wind and blown away, the wind reminded Bestle of the windblower and he shuddered he looked around scanning the area for any fairies or anything and his heart sank there was a ball of light coming at him at full speed then wind peared and the light went flying in the opposite direction he cheered with joy the roken it somewhaten rebuked.
And the magnet turned out to be a windmill its main purpose was to cosume darkness and restore order but the instance with the light had broken it somehow.
Bestle eventually repaired the wind mill when the arms started rotating quickly, then a clock started ticking Bestle's firstimpression was that the windmill would explode his second was that the world was ending when the windmill started whispering to Bestle it started telling himthat he was safe from the windlower for now but the darkness was worse.
The windmill had stopped for a while it would try to start up again but couldn't it was failing entirely the last thing that it whispered to Bestle was that he should be able to succeed by following the correct path one led to ultimate destruction by the windblower or the ultimate detruction of the darkness.
By turning back Bestle would meet the Windblower, by venturing forth Bestle would confront the final battle, Bestle looked back and saw a beautiful magic light, Bestle looked forward and was scared it was like leaping into a void, the windmill asked one more time for Bestle to prepare himself and crumbled altogether Bestle was staring at the light.
Bestle decided preparing himself would propably include getting ready to jump into the void and he resisted the light, his magical abilities seemed to be gone and now it was time to become a hero just this one last time would he be able to return to the light when something nudged him forth, he spun around and found another fairy light they both crashed into the void.
One of Bestles eyes could see darkness and the other would see light, it was like being confronted by the universe itself, half of Bestle wanted to manipulate the darkness whilst the other wanted to harness the light, it was an internal struggle he would never win he was being torn in half again.
He saw an image of the clerics fighting the 'SOLDIERS' then they were swept away and he could remember flying on the lizard but the lizard was dead now, then he remembered the windblower and his eye nearly exploded, his memory was warping and he was having delusions of being able to manipulate light and dark so he started wondering if this was just an illusion or could he really do it then he exploded.
There were two worlds now the final war between the clerics and the soldiers 'light verse dark' Bestle soul had been released and had ascended in front of them up to the stars the clerics were cheering and rejoicing because of this whilst the soldiers released a volley of arrows the size of spears they blocked out the sky as they rained down upon the clerics but they all fell short.
Then came the cleric counter attack possibly one of the most common spells learnt by the clerics called 'seperate' the volley of arrows was too lethal the clerics had decided so they summonded a barrier between the light and the dark hoping it would buy them some time the 'soldiers' were just too ferocious.
The barrier was called the 'bad rain' it could infect your mind by hearing it and if it touched you it was just like acid it held the soldiers off for weeks, unfortunately a couple of clerics were infected and they ran off into the rain and melted, the rain was just one of the side effects of trying to summon the barrier and doesn't last forever either, the rain subsided.
A number of soldiers had been disfigured by the rain, they had been traveling through it, when they finally reached the clerics they looked like zombies all they did was scare the clerics and inform them that the soldiers were summoning every single cleric they killed and turning them into creatures/monsters psychotically insane ones, which in effect would turn upon the other clerics, there were two types of insanity the first would affect the clerics form, changing them from a good old cleric into a sentinel they could not move they would just impede their magic, and they looked so scary that all the clerics were afraid of them, fortunately it would wear off in a couple of days although once they had started moving it would take them days to catch up, the second form were agressive they had only one attack but had failed to kill a single cleric because the clerics would anticipate their move before they attacked if this was the case they would restore the cleric to what he once was, the attacks mounted by the soldiers were effective but not magical at this point, the clerics were waiting for their friends to catch up when the rain started again they fled towards the closest thing they could find which turned out to be a group of 'soldiers'.
The rain stopped the instant they saw each other and the clerics noticed that they had a prisoner chained up, the prisoner was Bestle the 'soldiers' threw him towards the clerics and said that they had drained all of the magic out of him and that they could try and heal him if they wanted but it wouldn't do much good because the war was almost over for they were about to cut the clerics down where they stood.
Bestle coughed up a crystal and spat it onto the ground he had been saving it the whole time they had tormented him and now it was released the 'bad rain' was working horizontally now, the clerics in affect were releasing their own magic at the same time and it was working until the 'soldiers' started avoiding the worst parts of the rain and grabbed Bestle again they were partially melted now all of the 'soldiers' were but when they crushed the crystal 'bad rain' stopped forever, Bestle started convulsing the instant they touched him and as they dragged him away from the clerics they swore they would end this.
The 'soldiers' were in bestial form now and they were far quicker than the clerics were the only thing the clerics had on their side now was the glass formations they found along the way, they were effectively looking globes but everytime they tried all they would see was disgusting beasts bearing Bestle away into the darkness.
So they would look everytime they found a formation and started losing hope until they found a particularly large one they cracked it open and Bestle fell out, the beasts had been decieved the clerics heard them bellow as they turned around to charge at the clerics.
On the ground there was a shard of glass that looked like a flute.
The beasts had gained a lot of momentum by now but had started tripping over sometimes occasinally one would smash like it was glass and they would slow down a bit Bestle continued playing the flute and the clerics were watching them drop one by one.
Once the final beast had smashed the war was over the clerics had won and Bestle was still alive after that they swore that they would protect him as long as he would become their king Bestle grew into a great king and learned the art of light magic he would teach it to the clerics and they in turn would dedicate their souls to the kingdom, until the fairies attacked again.
The descendants of the WindBlower.
Great king Bestle strode towards the biggest strongest fairy he could see and drew his sword neither of them were afraid but the way it was bouncing seemed to indicate strength four more faries came bouncing along at that point and king Bestle was surrounded they acted in the same manner as the first lights he had encountered except they were stronger and they were dragging him in the same direction directly towards a bigger stronger fairy it was huge and it was holding two chains.
The fairies eventually overwhelmed king Bestle and chained him up then they started bashing him king Bestle would lose conciousness then wake up and realise that he was a prisoner again the clerics were asleep so they wouldn't be able to help him and the chains were very strong he struggled but it would do no good.
They dragged him for a day or two until they reached a cemetary the gate creaked when they opened it and you could feel the ghosts move, the fairies in effect were just nicer forms than the ghosts that sleep here and they woke up when they heard the gate, king Bestle could hear them whisper they were telling him that he would be safe here if he wanted to stay and that he could sleep as long as he wanted sleep until he was dead.
So king Bestles soul left his body for the last time and no he would never be dead, the souls in the cemetary were good people they had just been here for a long time, living in the cemetary as a ghost was wonderful, you could float as high as you wanted and the dreams, well all of the ghosts dreamt they dreamt of being alive and king Bestle dreamt along with them the only bad thing was that if anyone found the cemetary they would have to become a ghost as well that meant no more body just living as a ghost and sleeping and dreaming.
The clerics woke up and found that their king was gone so they set out to find this cemetary.
Along the path they followed they found relics and elements of an ancient graveyard they were not misleading either they seemed to lead the clerics in the exact direction they had to go although the closer they got to the graveyard the ghosts would get stronger.
They passed rough hewn graves and skeletal remains along this path and the wind was cold as it spoke to the clerics, the voices in the wind were telling the clerics that this the final part of their journey then they would hear a gate open.
When they saw the gate their spirits sunk there was a big huge lock on it and there was a ghost sleeping on the outside of the graveyard, they noticed another ghost sleeping by a tree and another one sleeping in the tree.
The clerics tried to communicate with Bestle and he heard, king Bestle spoke so softly that other ghosts wouldn't hear and appeared to the clerics.
They saw the most majestic king ever and king Bestle was enormous he was taking up the whole entire graveyard and was as tall as the trees he told the clerics that this was a good place and now he was bound to it and he couldn't leave, that was when the sentinels woke up and the gate swung open king Bestle beckoned for the clerics to enter, and as their tears dropped flowers sprung up in their place and the sentinels started to materialize and as their tears dropped more flowers would materialize and the ghosts started to sing in harmony with each other and as king Bestles tears dropped the graveyard turned from a graveyard into a beautiful garden and as the voices came together the birds arrived and joined the chorus.
Once the garden had grown to its full beauty king Bestle ruled as the true king over the garden forever whenever the choirs would sing in unison the king would be happy and the dischord had been broken for ever and ever until the trees were as high as the mountains and when the sun would rise and the moon would follow and beneath the moon the twilight would dance upon the garden as does the sunlight dance upon the earth.
The mud boy.
The Mud Boy...
The mud boy was real, no one liked believing it but they had to, mudboy would often turn up in places unexpectedly and he was bossy he was always making up rules, that was for the day that he announced them, the rules could be anything, from wearing a blindfold all day or to have to sleep underneath their bed for the night, the children would often sneeze at this point and when they opened their eyes the mud boy would be gone, that was apart from the splotches of mud that he left behind.
Sometimes it rained.
The mud boy loved the rain but he was mischevious, he would often play where children could see him, but when the rain would stop the mud boy would sink back into the mud and would not be seen for days, apart from that the mud boy was not condemned to the rain no not at all.
The children were playing in the mud, against their guardians knowledge, they had seen the puddle but to them it looked like a playground, when they got home their guardians noticed that they had left a trail of mud from where they had been playing leading to the doorstep so they called the police.
It was uncanny how much mud there was and on the third day the police were back at the residence with them complaining about mud showing up all over the house there was mud on the roof and most of the windows they left after that, that was when the new tenants arrived.
Bill was the new groundskeeper in the suburb he looked like a groundskeeper, he acted like a groundskeeper, he rode his tractor like a groundskeeper, but he hated mud except he kept finding it everywhere, in places where it should not be so he organized the mud squad.
The mud squad was Bill and his horse to start with.
The mud squad had heard strange stories from afar about mud until one day when it was raining they finally saw the mud boy, and Bills horse reared up and bolted, the mud boy approached Bill slowly through the rain
